This week I've a few exciting things to tell y'all, so hold on to your seats!

First, the sequel to Nocturnal Fate is now in the most capable hands of my critique group! We'll be meeting next week to discuss the book and any changes that it may need. Can I get a hell ya?! Sign up for my mailing list (information on my Blog), and be one of the first to hear about the release date.

Another big thing happening next week is Skeleton Key's debut! I'm really excited about this. Skeleton Keys is an urban fantasy I started back in 2010 for NaNoWriMo, about a recent collage graduate who returns home for her grandfather's funeral. Truths about her family are revealed that she never could have imagined, and now she must deal with her inheritance, her father's sudden interest in her, and her grandfather's assistant; a foreigner with strange and dark past.

Skeleton Keys will be a serial book, meaning I will post a chapter a week online for my fans to read. On FEB. 10TH, I'll be submitting the first 4 chapters here! You'll also be able to read SK on my Wattpad and Lj accounts, which you can find links for at the bottom of this post.

Also, my brand new Forums are now open! These are a great way to connect with me and my other fans out there across all my accounts! You can discuss releases, recent chapters, and just chit chat in General. Stop by today and say hi!

Lately I've been thinking about my favorite vampires, and what ranking I would give them. This was all spurred on because I've recently fallen for two new vampires. They both made the list by the way, and so here it is:

1. Aubrey from Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' book, Demon in my View.  Aubrey holds a very special place in my heart, and the reason for this is because he is the first vampire I truly fell for. Dark, mysterious, bad ass - with a soft side hidden in there as well.

2. Joa from Nieidanine's comic "Transfusions". I recently found this comic on smackjeeves, and have become insanely addicted to it. I love the art style, the story line, and the depth to the characters. And Joa? Most unique vampire I've come across yet. I love him! (Though, secretly, I love Dylan more…)

3. Sin, an original character of mine from the Lightwalker series. To let you in on another little secret, Sin wasn't in the original manuscript for Nocturnal Fate. His story line was added in very close towards the end. The first time I met Sin, was in a spark of inspiration were I was writing the bones of what would later become his final scene in Nocturnal Fate. He just kinda grew on me from there.

4. Damon Salvatore, from Vampire Diaries. What can I say? He's just eye candy, and bad ass to go with it.

5. John Mitchell, from the British show, being human. I watched this show, all 3 seasons, on netflix in a marathon over the holidays. I highly recommend them! I think the reason I like Mitchell so much is because he's very close to what I envisioned Sin to be – looks and personality wise.

(And a half?) D. I'm a huge fan of the half vampire, the Vampire Hunter D.

First, some may have noticed that I've taken down my Nocturnal Sunrise deviations. The reason behind this is because I've re-written the story, now titled Nocturnal Fate, and self-published it as an ebook. I am thinking about putting up the sample chapters here in place of the chapters that I have taken down.

I haven't been very active here, or any where else online -with maybe the exception of twitter, but I've become very active in my local writing community.  My next project in the works is Book 2 of the Lightwalker series, the sequel to Nocturnal Fate, and getting plans ready for Nanowrimo this year.

I'm having issues bringing my profile up to date, so here's some new goodies until then.

Website: jdwrites.com

Well, I guess the new website would be all - OH! Also, You can download a sample of Nocturnal Fate from my

Smashwords site: www.smashwords.com/books/view/…

And that should hold you until I get the sample chapters uploaded here!

I hope everyone is doing well!!

I'll add some new devs when I've got a few minuets to find them.

Anyway, NaNoWriMo is just around the corner!! Who's excited?
